The new, exciting mystery bounty tournament format is the latest addition to ACR, scheduled for the imminent High Five Tournament Series. Players win bounties just like in normal bounty events but this time the payouts are drawn at random.
This element of surprise adds a new dimension to tournament poker that includes the possibility to win big even without making the money in the event.
How Do Mystery Bounty Tournaments Work?
Bounty tournaments have become incredibly popular during the last few years. In these events the prize money is split 50/50 between the bounties and the prize pool. But in the mystery bounty format, the bounties are already predetermined and then drawn at random every time a player collects one.The bounties are also much bigger than usual as they are only awarded in Phase 2. Players compete through Phase 1 in the same manner as a regular freezeout to get through to Phase 2 when the bounties get paid out.
Two Ways to Win:
The Mystery Bounty Tournament format offers two ways to win:- Run deep in the tournament and accumulate a large chip stack during multiple Phase 1 flights
- Collect a big bounty by eliminating players in Phase 2
